The order, valued at approximately Skr1.5bn ($158.8m), includes troop transport, command control (C2), and medical evacuation variants.
This procurement increases the total number of Pansarterrängbil 300 vehicles ordered by Sweden to 415, following a previous FMV order for 321 units placed in 2024.
Patria will supply the vehicles, with Swedish industry offering input. Delivery of all vehicles is scheduled between 2025 and 2030.
The acquisition takes place within the framework of the Finnish-led Common Armoured Vehicle System (CAVS) programme.
Sweden participates in this multinational effort alongside Latvia, Denmark, Norway, Germany, and the UK.
Patria market area Nordics vice president Mats Warstedt said: “Sweden’s decision to procure an additional batch of Patria 6×6 vehicles represents a solid sign of trust and the joint power of [the] CAVS programme, which further solidifies the interoperability and security of supply among allied nations.”
The CAVS programme, which began in 2020, seeks to develop a 6×6 armoured vehicle system designed to address the shared requirements of participating countries.
Patria acts as the lead contractor for the CAVS programme and brings over four decades of experience in developing and delivering armoured troop transport vehicles and integrating system solutions.
The majority of vehicle production uses domestic industry capabilities from participating countries, which is intended to reinforce supply security across all member states.
Under this programme, Patria has already secured orders exceeding 1,000 Patria 6×6 vehicles, with over 250 units delivered.
The CAVS cooperation remains open to other countries that have similar requirements, subject to mutual agreement among current members.
In July 2025, Denmark finalised a contract for 129 CAVS 6×6 vehicles with Patria after signing all primary agreements under the initiative.
